Exclusive: Studio Diary Sneak Peek

Come inside the pages of Brookinha's studio diary where she captures thoughts, studies, inspirations and notes.

"I grew up exploring the rivers, beaches, rainforests and many other amazing treasures the Australian bushland has to offer with my family. I was always fascinated by our local flora and fauna and spent time studying the natural patterns, forms and colours that have inspired my art practice today." - Brookinha

The diary pages shared include highlights of the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest, Blue Mountains National Park and detailed flora studies. This is where the process starts. The initial thoughts, ideas and inspirations. From here the textile designs are born.

"It's a messy, unfiltered process mixed with illustrations overlapping words, colour inspirations and fleeting ideas. My artist diary is one of my favourite things to both look back on to see where I have come, where I want to go and ignite new ideas." - Brookinha
